On one of my less frequent forays onto campus, I found Frank at a lunch time rally in Biko Plaza. The legendary whistle-blower Daniel Ellsberg is at the microphone. As Frank was telling me about the 12 Galaxies keeping him from hitting ski slopes, we were shushed by some irritable demo-goers near the very spot where the Free Speech Movement was born.

Re: Chu in Berzerkeley
Wed, February 1, 2006 - 8:37 AMThere is a time when the operation of the 12 Galaxies becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run the 12 Galaxies, to the people who own the 12 Galaxies, that unless you're free, the 12 Galaxies will be prevented from working at all.
